BACDYS is devoted to promoting empowerment, social responsibility, economic prosperity, and admiration for cultural diversity within our community. We believe in building strength and unity between the different residents of City Line and East New York, Brooklyn. It a pleasure working with my team to develop innovative solutions to the many challenges facing under-served communities like ours.
I am proud that BACDYS offer programs that engage youth and adults alike. We strive to impart valuable knowledge and skills that will serve our youth through their childhood and adolescence into adulthood. We believe an investment in our youth is an investment in our future. BACDYS offers services to all residents, regardless of ethnic origin, socio-economic status, gender, and we especially cater to those members of our community who need the most support. Recognizing that women are the foundation of so many of the families we serve, but often overlooked in terms of their own needs, women’s empowerment is a cornerstone of our program. These are just a few of the ways in which BACDYS aims to strengthen the Bangladeshi American community and our allies, neighbors and friends.
I see immense potential for the growth and development of BACDYS as we work to meet the many needs of those we serve. As a small organization that is rapidly growing, my team and I invest a lot of effort to ensure that BACDYS remains rooted as an organization that is by the community, for the community, and truly has an impact. As a lifelong resident of City Line, local business owner, and community activist, my personal philosophy has always been to give back, and to pay it forward. I am grateful to the support of our volunteers and donors in carrying out this work, and I encourage you as our community members, neighbors, brothers and sisters, allies and friends to join me in giving back and paying it forward. Your support and generosity truly make a difference.
