City Line East New York Gets a New Garden!

Organized by BACDYS and 596 Acres

BACDYS with the help of its’ supporters and a great team of volunteers have transformed an abandoned DOT plot into a beautiful ‘Community Garden’ to make it accessible to general population for recreation and to encourage the residents of East New York to adapt healthy food habit. The community garden was a joint effort of both the groups under BACDYS’ leadership and supervision. Organic vegetable are grown in the garden and distribute to the residents by the Senior Volunteers. Children and youth also participate in planting and growing vegetable as part of their environment education.
